I think we could use stacked bars, this would reduce the horizontal space required

I think we should ave a period filter, by default the period filter should ilustrate the current usage, but the user could select any period (this period should not be an interval but only specific months for health facilities and days for warehouses if possible)

Hi Felimone. We can certainly use a stacked bar chart instead. Instead of explicitly showing bars for unused and total capacities, though, we’d show bars for used and unused capacities. They’d be stacked atop one another, thereby showing total capacity as their sum. Does that seem preferable?

Do you think the proposed “Historical CCE Capacity by Province” and “Historical CCE Capacity by District” charts can take the place of a Period filter within this chart? If so, I think the developmental effort may be less.

Hi Ben
1. Yes.
2 I did not understand the second point

Thank you, Felimone.

The second thing I was trying to say is that we’ll potentially have reports dedicated to showing historical information. In that case, it may be better to rely on the other reports for historical info rather than add a Period filter to this one. I’m eager to get your thoughts, though.

I think it will more sense to have the period filter

Hi Felimone. I replaced the parallel bars with stacked ones, and agree that they’re better.

It seems that there are two possible approaches we can take with the Current (as opposed to Historical) CCE reports:

A) We can add a Period filter in which case the “Current” reports would flexibly be able to show historical data as well. The reports would show whatever data was submitted alongside the selected period’s requisition. The drawback is that users would rarely see current data. It would only be as current, and as accurate, as the most recent period for which every relevant facility submitted a requisition. If we take this route, I suggest against including the term “Current” in the reports’ titles.

B) We can offer a truly current report about CCE capacity by basing it on the stock-management service. Users would be able to see accurate capacity as of the moment that the report is run. It would be harder to offer a historic Period dropdown, though, and the report would only be relevant to facilities using the stock-management service.

Will you please confirm which of the two approaches to the “Current” reports seem best?
